The Rio Tinto Mining company carries out exploration activities at the La Granja Mining Project, located in the Querecoto District, in Chota, Cajamarca. La Granja is a mining project that was transferred to the Rio Tinto Group late in January 2006 after a public tender process called out by the Peruvian Government. Rio Tinto examines the possible development of this project through pre-feasibility studies in which it evaluates if there exist geological, environmental, social and economic conditions for building a mine.

The ALPAMARCA mine is located at 4,730 m.a.s.l. and is one of the oldest mines of VOLCAN. The explorations performed confirm their great production potential of zinc, lead and silver.

At present, WRS Peru carries out mineral transport activities from Alpamarca to the Chungar plant with four dumper trucks of 20m3 or 35-ton net capacity and transportation between the mine's worksites using three dump trucks of same capacity. This service has WRS personnel in Maintenance and Operation 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

The Inter-Oceanic Highway is the most ambitious road project underway and will benefit thousands of Peruvians by contributing to the development and growth of Peruvian economy in the coming years. CONIRSA is a consortium made up of Odebrecht, JJC Contractors, Civil Engineers and General Contractors (ICCGSA) and Graña y Montero, responsible for the construction of tranches 2 and 3 of the Peru-Brazil Inter-Oceanic Corridor.

This project is located in Cerro de Pasco at 4300 m.a.s.l., where WRS has in rent, 7 dump trucks 8x4 Mercedes Benz for production in Brocal mine's worksite.

This project is located in Lima city, where Túpac Amaru avenue is in construction. WRS has rented 6 heavy equipment machines like motor graders and soil compactors.

This is a road section in Chilete-Cajamarca, WRS is renting 3 heavy equipment machines.

This project is located in the sierra del departamento in Lima, at 4,800 m.a.s.l., where WRS is renting 7 machines for construction jobs in Austria Duvaz's mine.

WRS is renting 6 dump trucks equiped with a hopper of 32 ton capacity, for transportation of the minerals between the Southern mine in Llo and the storage site in Nazca (1,600 km per work cycle).
